Failure Really Is The Key To Success
A few months ago I wrote an article entitled ‘Double Your Failure’. As the title suggests it’s about how you need to ‘fail’ a lot in order to learn and become more successful.
Well I stumbled across this great quote and I wanted to write an article around it. It’s such a great quote which I feel you can use to learn why failure must come before success. From this failure you can learn to be better at interacting with women.
“Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.” – Thomas J. Watson, former President of IBM.
Firstly, if you don’t want to fail then there is no way you can improve.
Secondly, failure is a huge part of life. You have experienced failure from a young age. However you have used this to improve in every aspect of life. But probably never even notice.
Think about children when they begin to learn to walk. They stand up, start to walk and then fall over. They get up again and try once more. This time they do a little better but once again fall over. Once again they rise to their feet and try again.
Through this they learn how to walk. They are learning each time from the failure they have experienced the time before.
Unless you were some child prodigy you too will have experienced the example above. You will have learned from failure and through this you have learned to walk. The same can be said for learning to talk and many other things.
So when you go out and meet women you need to make sure that you use any failure in a positive way. The main reason for this is because you will fail. At some point or another you will fail.
Instead of feeling bad, look at it in a positive way and use what has happened to learn. You need to realise what you have done wrong in a particular interaction so that you can make sure you don’t make the same mistake in the future.
In short: Failure is your friend. Make sure you treat your friend well when he pops up to see you :-)
Catch you laters,
