Apologies now if you are not a fan of football (or soccer as the Americans call it), but there is no way I can go through the whole World Cup without any articles related to the world cup. It just has to be done.

Now if you didn’t see it, Rob Green let in an absolute sitter in during England’s opening World Cup match. I know a huge portion of Americans who do like football will love me talking about Rob Green and his moment of madness even if it doesn’t help them with women :-).

However after thinking about what happened I decided that instead of seeing it as a negative I would try and get some positive out of it. Not in terms of football cause to be honest there is no real way of looking at what happened in a positive light in terms of football itself, well unless you are American of course. But instead the mindset of Rob Green since it happened.

Let’s be honest, letting in as sitter in the World Cup must be one of the most demoralising experiences you could ever have. The weight of a nation to do well is being held firmly on your shoulders and you go and make a complete howler as Rob Green did.

Yet somehow he managed to keep his head held firmly in the air. He handled the whole situation with poise, professionalism and generally has not let what could be one of the worst moments in his football career effect him. A lesser man would probably be quite content with the manager letting another goalkeeper play the next match. However Rob Green is willing and ready to play should the manager make that call.

Now you maybe asking what this has to do with meeting women. Well when you consider the biggest fear that most guys have with women is dropping a clanger when they approach a girl. They are afraid that they are going to make a mistake and that if they do the whole world is going to come crumbling down on them.

Well I don’t think you can drop any big a clanger than at the Football World Cup and yet Rob Green has not let it effect him. So what I am saying is, if he can take such a huge cock up and just let it slide by the wayside then you can cock it up with a girl and just let it fall by the wayside as well.

Remember these few things next time you approach a girl:

• If things don’t go according to plan just remember that the whole world is not watching your every move. At the end of the day the only people who are there when you approach a girl is you, her and maybe a few friends of hers. You are talking about a handful of people at the most not the millions that watched Rob Green fluff it.
• On a night out a girl gets approached a number of times. The chances of her actually remembering the interaction with you and her is slim at best. Unless you do some crazy crazy thing you will just be another guy who didn’t quite make the grade. Whereas Rob Green will probably be remembered for this blunder for the rest of his life.
• Even if you are awesome with women, you will always make mistakes. The gurus out there who say they can pick up any girl any time, 100% of the time is lying. We all make mistakes and that is demonstrated by one of the best goalies in the world make a big blunder. You must realise that you will make mistakes and that you just have to accept that fact.

I think what we need to learn is that you need to put things into perspective. Yes it is not very nice being rejected by a girl however you must realise that it will happen to you. Whether that is because you are just starting out trying to meet women and the inexperience leads to mistakes. Or because you are very experienced but still experience those days where nothing goes right and you make mistakes that mean you don’t get the girl. What ever your skill level you will make mistakes and you need to deal with them just like Rob Green has done.

Many guys want to learn how to become successful with women. The thing is, do you really know who you want to become to achieve this?

When you learn how to meet and attract women you know what you are getting. You are getting the skills to get women attracted to you and then either get them into bed for a one night stand, get into a relationship, etc. But as with anything in life, it’s not always as simple as this.

I believe that success with women is not the most important thing to consider in this situation. You may feel it is when you first start learning these new skills, but there is a much more important factor to consider. Check out the quote below. You can base this principle on every aspect of your life including meeting women.

The most important thing to consider is who you are becoming to achieve the goals you have with women.

You need to know who you are becoming at the same time as you are trying to get your dating life sorted. An example maybe using routine based methods that although bring you success with women but makes you feel hollow inside. Although success is great, you need to consider what effect it is having on the rest of your lifestyle.

When I started meeting women I used routines and I found success happened quite quickly. I also found myself becoming disillusioned by the whole fact that I was using unnatural methods to meet and attract women even though I thought it should be the most natural thing in the world.

From this I realised that although I wanted success with women I also didn’t want to sacrifice my principles and values. My principles and values are what make me who I am today. If I removed these from my person just for the sake having success with girls then the rest of my life would fall into tatters.

So when you are considering what to learn in order to become successful with women, make sure that it fits in with your principles and values. If you find that it doesn’t then you will actually find that the rest of your life will suffer. You may find that you change into the sort of person who you have always despised. This is not worth it just for success with women and you may find that in the future your success with women may take a nose dive back to where it was before.

I bet you’ve been in this position: You want to talk to a hot girl but just can’t seem to do it. We’ve all been there: You see a really hot sexy girl and your mouth dries up, your stomach twisted in knots.

When I had no confidence with women, I would just look, stare, hang my jaw and wish that I could somehow start talking to her. I fantasised scenarios like her being mugged by some guy and me catching him and saving her, just so I would be able to talk to her.

In my mind she would thank me and then suddenly fall in love with me because I was her hero. Then we walk into the distance, hand-in-hand smiling. We would live happily ever after, and life would be sweet.

Reality check: Life just ain’t like that. What a mug I was :-)

Here’s the deal: Hot women are just like any other women. They are human beings after all. There are maybe a few subtle differences but nothing major that means she needs to be treated extra special or anything.

Here’s some guidelines to keep in mind when you talk to a hot girl:

Don’t Acknowledge her beauty

When you talk to a hot girl, try not to focus all of your attention onto her natural beauty. There are a few reasons for this; firstly she will be so use to people focusing on her natural beauty that it won’t separate you from the crowd. Secondly, focusing on her looks can make you look shallow and makes you look like you are just interested in her because of her looks. Problem is, women love to get compliments, so what do you do? Instead of complimenting her on her natural beauty, instead focus on her choices that make her look more attractive. Say that the way she has her hair really suits her or tell her that the outfit she is wearing looks good on her.

Being confident

You can’t let her beauty affect your confidence. It can be easy for you to allow her beauty to make you feel unconfident about whether you should be talking to her. Well you should be so make sure you talk to her and allow your true confident self to shine through. You should talk to her like you would talk to people you know. This girl isn’t any different to anyone else apart from the fact she is hotter. Deep down she is just another human being who has the same needs and desires that everyone else has.

Don’t assume anything

As they say, assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. Just cause a girl is really hot doesn’t mean she is an air head. Hot women [just like any other women] love guys who can hold a decent conversation. Not many people know about these underground PUAs I’ve selected for this list, and this is a travesty. There is a ton of amazing information out there if you look a little below the surface of the big mass-marketed gurus. On with the countdown…

#10 ALPHAHOT1

This guy is from the old school. He was around back as early as 1997, so he certainly knows his stuff. He’s also intimidatingly intelligent and is able to analyse psychology on such a deep level that it makes other so-called ‘gurus’ look like schoolkids.

He’s all about being that guy who gives the girl something that will have such an impact on her, she will remember it for the rest of her life. And he has such a strong understanding of female psychology, he probably ‘gets’ most women better than they get themselves.

#9 Gunwitch

This man has his own method called Gunwitch Method. His method is very direct and therefore focuses on accepting the fact that women want sex as much as men. It’s all about getting women into a sexual state through non-verbal communication. Very cool stuff.

I love his expression, “make the ho say no”. This is great advice because at least you are pushing it far enough that you either get laid or get rejected. If you don’t push it far enough for either of these two to happen then you are throwing opportunities down the drain.

One of the most successful PUA websites in the world and yet is still relatively unknown. As far as I can see he has great skill and is pretty modest about it which I like.

#7 Captain Jack

Captain Jack is great at what he does. He is best know for teaching Same Night Lays and has also spent time with Sinn which would surely have given him an edge (Love Sinn or hate him, he is good with women).

His stuff usually comprises of both teaching his great techniques and also sharing his personal field reports. Field reports are a great way to learn the ‘behind closed doors’ stuff and can really help you, so if you like them then read go some of Captain Jack’s.

#6 Ben Orion

Ben definitely comes across as a friendly guy. He is a bit of a geek which is cool, cos I’m a bit of a geek myself.

He is the sort of person who you would wanna hang with. He has loads of neat little ideas that are pure gold. He does the usual routines but he does them so well including palm reading.

Should definitely check out his stuff if you feel like you are being held back by your geeky/nerdy ways :-)

#5 Zan Perrion

Zan is a dark horse of the scene. He doesn’t chase the spotlight like so many other ‘gurus’ out there. He was mentioned briefly in The Game if I recall correctly.

What I like about Zan is that he focuses on something that is often overlooked by the more, shall I say, ‘flashy’ characters in the community:- The art of being charming.

So much stuff out there focuses on the fancy lines, the cock-funny techniques, and they are all well and good but f you just use these, you can come off as a bit too arrogant and cocky, and it can actually ruin your chances. So this focus on being charming is a welcome breath of fresh air, and is crucial to having a complete skill-set when it comes to your interactions.

#4 Mark Cunningham

Also known as ‘Major Mark’. This guy has been around since the Pre-Cambrian era. Hanging out with the inception of the online ‘community’ since the early nineties.

The first time I heard Mark speak, I thought he was a chauvinistic a-hole. But later I realised that he was just talking about being a man, having strong values, and being willing to stand up for yourself, and not let others walk all over you.

He has a background in hypnosis, and specialises in changing core beliefs. He’s not glamorous, showy; he doesn’t wear furry hats or new rock boots, but his ideas and teachings are awesome, and will totally rock your world.

#3 Maniac

Maniac is a bit of a legend, to say the least. Just Google ‘Maniac High’ and read everything you can find by this guy. Trust me.

He’s spent a lot of time in Japan overcoming ‘language and cultural barriers’ so to speak.

#2 MrSex4uNYC

This guy is responsible for some of the best advice I have ever received, and I think should be part of our bible.

“Your first 1,000 approaches don’t count.”

What this means is, for those first thousand you talk to, you are purely in the ‘learning from your experience’ frame of mind, and should expect *nothing* from the interaction other than to learn and improve your skills.

This extreme focus on learning by experience was a huge aha moment for me, and once you realise the power of learning anything in this way, anything you set your mind to achieving will be possible. You just gotta get out there and do your first thousand.

#1 Toecutter

Toecutter, also known as Steve Celeste, is one of my all-time personal heroes when it comes to just being a straight-up cool guy who stands up for his values.

He combines intellectual prowess with a relentless drive to put everything he learns into practice, and learn and this attitude is something we can all be inspired by.

I remember being hugely influenced by his writings many years ago on ASF. Go check out his archives and you’ll experience so many flashes of inspiration it will make anything else seem like it was written by a five year old.

He talks about dealing with your ‘inner turmoils’ – stuff from your past that is holding you back without you even realising it.

He did release an ebook a while ago, but it hasn’t been massively marketed or anything. It was called ‘What to say after you say hello’. Worth a read certainly.

But what if I told you there could be a sinister dark-side to porn and masturbation, one that may be ruining your life if left unchecked? Well, you’d probably want a heads-up on the whole thing, and that’s what this article is all about.

Wanking is good for you, and normal…

Masturbation a perfectly normal and natural habit. It should be enjoyed withoutout the stigma and guilt often associated with it by society. Guys relieving the sexual tension because they have no other way to do it is perfectly normal. It’s actually proven to be healthy because it has been shown to help reduce your risk of prostate cancer. However, can it affect our ability to meet women if it becomes an addiction, especially if excessive consumption of porn is involved.

Masturbation is, by definition, an isolated activity that you do alone. You sit there glaring at the computer screen, browsing porn sites for a long period of time looking for new stuff to get your fix from. Part of you knows that this surely can’t be good for your social life, but you do it anyway, right? I know I do.

Well it blew my mind the other day when I read about masturbation to porn potentially directly causing social anxiety in men. What the hell? How can something as normal and porn and masturbation cause you to suffer from increased social anxiety?

Porn & masturbation rewires the brain

Any type of continuously repeated behaviour is going to cause rewiring of the brain, also known as ‘habits’. This is fine if kept in check but if it gets out of control it can completely hijack your thought process. That is how people get into addictions. They start to lose control of what they are doing and allow that particular activity to take over. They become dependent on that particular activity. Anything that we do in life if done in a balanced manner is healthy. However if taken to the extreme it can soon become a detriment to your health.

In the book ‘The Brain That Changes Itself’ Dr Norman Doidge explains how high levels of dopamine, caused from excessive stimuli, can cause the brain to alter. Part of your brain deals with ‘making social ties’ and thus is there to help you make friends and form relationships. However the high dopamine from porn & masturbation can cause these to change, which has a huge effect on our perception of life.

Instead of being in a situation where we want to meet others, we instead get more pleasure from fake people. This is because of the release of dopamine that happens in this situation. Soon the lure of porn & masturbation becomes even more compelling than going out and trying to meet women for sex.

Porn rewards time alone

Although our bodies are engineered biologically to find relationships rewarding – as it spreads and mulitplies our genes, somehow it just does not seem to have the same effect as hours of trawling erotic material on the web. Bottom line, porn in its modern ‘never-ending always on tap’ form essentially short-circuits our reward centre and can turn us into mindless goal-seeking machines.

The instant gratification porn provides means we are more likely to stay in and masturbate, instead of going out into the real world. This therefore isolates us even more from the rest of the world. It becomes a self-reinforcing self-destructive pattern.

Dopamine may play a role in depression…

It seems that dopamine may cause depression. When it is initially released you get a massive high. This however only lasts, while you have exposure to dopamine. The sort of exposure that may be bought about from constant drug use, or in this case frequent, prolonged masturbation.

The problem is, if you have an addiction to porn & masturbation and are therefore subjected to high levels of dopamine, you may find that you suffer from depression. Depression has a big impact on how you feel.

Why? Well, your body essentially builds up a resistance to the effects of dopamine, so your ‘base level’ of happiness and satisfaction, just in general, is subjectively lower. It also mediates social anxiety, so this increases too.

Breaking the addiction and meeting new people is made hard because of depression. Especially the symptoms such as low self-esteem, feeling irritable and intolerant of others, lack of energy or lack of interest in sex, etc. This is what makes it so hard to change your ways, because you feel bad and the only way you feel as though you can feel better is by masturbating. It’s a vicious cycle.

Often, you won’t even notice yourself doing this. You’ll just find yourself on autopilot, self-medicating by watching porn and masturbating. Realising that you are in this situation is the first step in the battle to get control back from your compulsions.

Who is most likely to suffer from addiction?

Certain people are more likely to suffer from social anxiety caused by addiction. Natural introverts are at the greatest risk. They are the sorts of people who isolate themselves away from others. This isolation often further compounds their porn addiction.

What does this mean for you?

Like I said at the beginning, porn & masturbation is totally normal as long as it is part of a healthy lifestyle. However if it becomes an addiction then it can become a problem.

The phone should be something we embrace. We use it in everyday life and therefore we need to make sure that we are not afraid to use it when we need to. The main sticking-points guys seem to have with using the phone can be boiled down into a few common issues. The sort of stuff that you can get a grip of and thus will help you overcome your fear of using the phone:

Don’t know what to say

This is probably the biggest fear when it comes to talking to women on the phone. If you don’t know what to say on the phone, then you will never call a girl because you will have little to no confidence in yourself. Though as in real life, you can’t ever control every aspect of an interaction with a girl, the same applies for phone interactions. So, although you could learn a few routines that may help you along, the best way is to start using the phone more often, and develop your confidence on a more fundamental level.

If you make phone use ‘business as usual’ for yourself, you accomplish a few things. Firstly, you won’t be as worried about calling a girl because you will have more confidence, and will trust that everything will go well (Which it most likely will). Secondly, it doesn’t matter what she says, you will be able to cope because you will have the experience to come up with something on the spur of the moment.

What if she doesn’t answer?

There is a chance she may not answer the phone. This however is most likely not a reflection on whether or not she wants to speak to you. She may have her phone on silent so didn’t hear it ring, or she was at work, or maybe she got cold feet. Knowing what to do if she doesn’t answer can make the world of difference.

You have a choice. You can either try and ring back later (or the next day even), or you can leave a message. If you are going to leave a message then make sure you are calm and make sure she knows who is calling. The best way to do this is to get her to put your number in her phone when you exchange numbers. That way when you leave the message you don’t have to say, “Hey this is <Insert your name here> from the other day” which to be honest isn’t really that cool.

What if she doesn’t remember me?

Don’t even worry about it. She will do. If she’s given you her number, then you obviously did enough during the initial interaction to make a lasting impression. Women aren’t too keen to answer the phone to people they don’t know, so if she does answer the phone then you should assume that she really does want to talk to you, and it’s on like Donkey Kong.

What if she won’t return my calls?

If you’ve been trying a few times over the last couple of days, maybe it is best if you cut your losses and move on to another girl. If you have tried ringing her on numerous occasions, and also left a message, then it’s probably best to move on.

Maybe you didn’t do enough in your initial interaction, to make her feel comfortable enough for her to answer the phone to you. At the end of the day, this isn’t a huge problem. There are so many women out there that it isn’t worth a lot of effort chasing a lost cause. Instead, focus on going out, getting more numbers, and making more phone calls.

Take this on board, put some of the ideas into action, and your fear of using the phone will reduce and you will be able to charm the pants off a girl just by talking to her on the phone. Others are bought up in surroundings where they are not exposed to a great deal of guys who are good with women. Therefore they don’t posses the skills needed in order to be successful with women. Therefore they need to work at becoming better with women. Something that any guy can do.

I am sure anyone who has been learning how to attract women will know that occasionally there are times when you felt like giving up. Of course it’s natural to have these thoughts going around in your head. It can feel a lot easier to give up sometimes than to carry on through the rough times. Especially when you look at others who seems to have this ‘Natural’ way with women and then there is you who is working hard and still having days when it just doesn’t seem to work for you.

However before you decide that you can live without the hassle, firstly remember the guys who seem natural did learn off someone. They may not have done it on a conscious level, but they have learnt these skills. So you having to learn is totally normal. Also remember the following quote:

This quote really should hit you hard. I know it hit home for me. I was definitely not a so called ‘natural’. I was bought up in the middle of nowhere and went to an all boys school. Therefore I had very little interactions with women when I was younger. When I finally started to learn how to attract girls, I had good days and bad days. There were times when I felt like giving up and just thought that one day I will find someone who like me without all the hassle. However now I realise how much I would have regretted if I had given up. Especially if I had given up and then read this quote.

Why?

Because now I am so much more confident as a person. Learning how to meet women has opened up many more doors in my whole life. Yeah I am doing much better with women, but I am also doing well in other aspects of my life. Aspects such as my social life, work life, etc.

Remember you don’t need to become obsessed with learning to meet women and dedicate your whole life to it. If you just do a little bit each day and not allow the bad times to make you give up altogether, then there is a great chance that you will achieve your goals with women and be successful. Plus you will probably improve your life as a whole.

At the end of the day the only way to fail is by giving up. As long as you are doing a little each day to reach your goals then you will always improve. Good luck.

The phone is normally your second interaction with a girl. And, depending on how well that first call goes, it can be make-or-break whether or not she will meet up with you again. Therefore, you need to get your skills in this are handled.

So, I have created some awesome videos just for you, to help you learn how to talk to women on the phone.

As I mentioned earlier, a phone call is generally the second interaction you have with a women. Especially one whose number you got the other day in the bookstore, or on the night out over the weekend whilst hitting the pubs and the clubs. That first phone call is a crucial part of being successful with women because it’s the second time you interact after building the intial attraction. Your ‘performance’ on the call will dictate whether you increase the attraction or completely destroy. No pressure :-)

If you look at it this way, you could get 100 numbers a week but if you have no clue how to use the phone as effective mechanism to further the interaction then you are potentially throwing numerous opportunities down the drain. The phone isn’t just there to arrange the next meet. It can be used to create more attraction, interest and intrigue and therefore make her even more likely to want to meet up with you.

Learning how to talk to girls on the phone is an excellent way to make the second meeting between the two of you go much smoother. Many guys seem to overlook this factor. They feel that is you make a good impression when you first meet the girl then the phone call itself is not particularly important. I really hope you won’t be one of those guys who can’t see the importance of having excellent phone skills when talking to women on the phone.

Here are a couple of points to consider when making phone calls to women you have met just a short while ago:

Firstly, you have no idea how the first interaction went. You may have thought you were the best thing since sliced bread to her, however she might not have been quite as impressed as you were. She might have been impressed enough to answer the phone when you call, but you maybe standing on thin ice with her. So if you make the phone call and do a half-assed job of it, then the next thing you know, she seems less than interested in meeting up and the whole thing fizzles out. Whereas, if you can use the phone in an effective manner then you maybe able to make up for the slightly poor first interaction and really getting her keen on meeting you again.

Secondly, if you did have an awesome interaction when you first met her then maybe the need for an awesome phone interaction is not crucial for whether she wants to meet up again. However, why wouldn’t you want to smash it on the phone? And leave her going to bed that evening dreaming about you? If you were great in person, and then you are also great on the phone, she is just gonna want to meet up even more. Don’t settle for being the ‘just scrapped through it’ guy, settle for being the ‘I am totally awesome at everything’ guy.

Plus, it doesn’t matter if you are from the Uk to the USA, whether you like it or not, the phone and subsequently making phone calls is becoming more and more part of everyday life. Especially because of the mobile phone or cell phone, depending on what side of the Atlantic you are from. This includes when meeting women and attracting women.

So if you are really interested in becoming the complete package when interacting with women you need to learn how to talk to women on the phone.
